Lora grew up in Worthington, Ohio, where she began painting while in high school. She attended the Ohio State University, graduating in 1991 with a degree from the College of Pharmacy.  In 2005, she started painting again, taking private painting lessons and watercolor workshops. She is a member of National Watercolor Society, Brighton Art Guild, and a signature member of Michigan Watercolor Society. Her work is on display at Blue Heron Gallery of Elk Rapids, MI.  Lora was awarded Artist of the Year for Livingston Fine Art Association and has won several awards for her paintings including “Best of Show” for Mid Michigan Art Guild’s winter show, Michigan Watercolor Society Founder’s Memorial Award 2013, Michigan Watercolor Society Award 2022, several MWCS Travel Awards, and a finalist in Howell Art Project in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
